付き合いは30年以上、
私の親友､2人に会いに行きました！
13年ぶりの再会です。

普段は手紙やバースディカードや電話やメール・・・
でも、会うのがやっぱり一番！

185cmと175cmの金髪女性、
フランス・アンジェでの大学時代に知り合い意気投合して以来、
何時も一緒の私たちでした。
あの頃、私たちはモテモテの「3人娘」だったぁ～！
（年齢を重ねると、誰でも若い頃を振り返ってそう言うみたい）
写真は、今も掛け替えのない親友2人と、優しい旦那様達。

The Reunion in The Woods of Oslo

I visited the Norwegian capital, Oslo to see the two of my best friends for over 30 years!
It was first time to see them in 13 years.

Normally I exchange some letters, birthday cards, phone calls and e-mails…
but it’s the best to meet them!

Standing at 185 centimeters and 175 centimeters, they are both blond-haired.
Since we met at the university in Angers, France, and got along so well,
we shared every moment together.

We were the dazzling trio at that time!
（actually all the women would say so when looking back their younger days）

1st July 2013

オスロから車で約2時間半、
まずは海沿いのHvasser（ヴァッセル）というリゾート地へ向かいました。
友人の美しい別荘があり、みんなで数日過ごすためです。
ホテルはそこからは車で15分、
Tijomeにあるリゾート「Engo Gard」★★★★★へと向かいました。

2年前にホテルグループ「Relais et Chateaux」から脱退、
現在は､ローカルの高級リゾートとして人気。
訪れた6月のこの日、週末なので結婚式の盛大なパーティーが…。

The Resort in Norway, Where There Is No Japanese

Driving by car about two and a half hour from Oslo, we headed for Hvasser,
that is a seaside resort town. There is my friend’s beautiful second house
and we planned to stay there for several days.

Then I visited the resort hotel “Engo Gard”(★★★★★）,Tijome.
It’s 15 minutes ride by car to the hotel from the second house.

The hotel withdrew the hotel group “Relais et Chateaux” two years ago.
Currently it’s popular as a local high-grade resort.
On the day I visited in June, a big　wedding party was held since it was weekend…

オスロの親友が1年前から買い始めたという猫、男の子1歳と少し。
普段は庭や森を散歩していて、家にはいない。
この日、珍しく昼寝に帰ってきて、3時間ほどぐっすり寝てました！
自然の中でのびのび育つ猫くんは、マイペースで、行動も自由。
ノルウェーの森が彼の庭なのです。

My best friend in Oslo has been keeping a cat for a year.
He is a little over a year old.
He doesn’t stay in the home usually walking around the garden and the woods.
However at that day, it just so happened that he came up to take a nap
and got a good sleep 3 straight hours!
He is growing up so freely in nature that he is going his own wayand freewheeling.
Norwegian woods are his garden.

バリ島に「星のやバリ」が誕生することを
今日、初めて知りました！
しかも場所はバリ島の中央部、神々の棲むウブドです。
（BR. Pengembungan, Desa Pejeng Kangin, Tampaksiring, Gianyar, Bali 80552）

日本のリゾートから、国際的なリゾートへの旅立ち･･･
｢星のや｣ブランドは、もうそれだけの実力を、とうに、
充分に持っていると思っています。

日本の「おもてなし」が、
本格的に海外へ旅立つのはこれが初めてのこと。
日本の旅館の歴史が変わるときが、やっと、来たような気がします。
オープンは2014年の夏か秋、本当に待ち遠しいです。

バブル時代の初期、華やかなホテルとして、
また日本で初のブティック型ホテルとして生まれた「ホテル西洋銀座」が、
2013年5月末日、26年の歴史に幕を下ろしました。

誰もが、どれだけこのホテルに憧れたでしょうか。

ホテルジャーナリストとして18年目を終える、今の私は、
最初のインタビューが、ここ西洋銀座でのことでした。
忘れもしない、当時、チーフコンシエルジュとして活躍なさっていらした
多桃子（おおのももこ）氏へのドキドキのインタビュー・・・。

何度言っても足りない「ありがとう」ですが、やっぱり
｢ありがとう！｣でサヨナラします。
これからは自分だけの歴史のアルバムの中に。
